Poor Bo’s Almanac for 6.23.12: 1962: Ray Charles started an incredible 14 week run at #1 on the album charts w/’Modern Sounds Of Country & Western Music.’ 1965: How’s this for a line up on ‘Shindig’ tonight? The Byrds, Kingsmen, Billy Preston, Willie Nelson & Groucho Marx’s daughter. 1967: Aretha Franklin recorded ‘Chain Of Fools.’ 1975: While on his ‘Welcome To My Nightmare’ tour, Alice Cooper fell of the stage in Vancouver and broke 6 ribs. 1979: The Knack released ‘My Sharona.’ 1990: Gary Busey pays $242,200 for one of Buddy Holly’s guitars. Good day to prune to encourage growth & dig holes. Poor for clearing fence rows.
